Art Journal Page: Perfect Moment

With the shocking and shameful outcome of the UK's politics, I am seeking comfort in my home and in particularly my arts 'n' crafts room. In here, within these walls, I can be a hippy, believing in love for all. I can fill it with bright, cheerful colour. It stops my heart from breaking. Well that and curling up with Nick on the sofa, watching comedies and eating chocolate.

So I dragged out my warm colours and paints and decorated the background in orange acrylic paint, adding a layer using Seth Apter's stencils. I doodled a border using Posca paint pens and stamping a dotty vignette with John Bloodworth's stamp set.

I added a collaged person and doodled over it before printing out the quote, cutting it out and gluing in place.

And as the bad news just keeps coming, I have a feeling you will be seeing more pages from me. I am going to art the hell out of the coming weeks. It's going to be my drug. With my drinking and smoking days well behind me and my current attempts at cutting out sweets (not going well at the moment), I need to meditate, make art and possibly begin yoga again.

Art will heal xx
